At Tulip Hill, we offer bespoke partial hospitalization (PHP) and outpatient treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues. We’re a small, family-run business, specializing in dual diagnosis treatment. We believe that by treating underlying mental health conditions, we can remove barriers to recovery and triggers for chronic relapse.
We don’t have beachfront properties or spa treatments. We think that helping people achieve recovery is about more than providing luxury treatment for a few months. Instead, we believe it’s about compassionate staff with a genuine passion for recovery providing long-term support. From the moment you walk in our doors through to you rejoining everyday life, we’re with you every step of the way.
Your individualized treatment plan will focus on your long-term goals. You’ll transition through our ‘step down’ PHP treatment model and two phases of intensive outpatient treatment (IOP). Addiction takes many lives unnecessarily - we focus on your long-term goals to build a future worth living for.
Everything we do at Tulip Hill is informed by our core values.
We believe in meeting our clients exactly where they’re at. Recovery should never come from a place of judgment or force. To make our program accessible to everyone means to treat everyone with the same level of compassion. We don’t mind what your background is. We just want to see you recover and find peace of mind. Every human who walks through our doors deserves to be treated equally, and they are. Our bespoke approach means that you’ll get the exact level of care you need.
Integrity is being honest and truthful in all areas of our work – this is not optional in addiction treatment. If we’re faced with hard choices and difficult decisions, we always ensure that we do the right thing for our clients.
This guarantees that our processes are transparent and foster a deep bond of trust between our clients and us. When people see that we are open and honest in all we do, it shows them Tulip Hill is a safe place for them to embark on their recovery.
Compassion is critical in everything we do. Our counselors are all highly-qualified, many to master’s level. However, the deep care and understanding we provide are what sets the care at Tulip Hill apart.
People don’t recover through being judged and vilified. When you walk through our doors, you’ll see the difference in the care that permeates every aspect of our approach. This percolates through to the group dynamic, fostering an environment built on deep trust, mutual respect, and genuine compassion.
We are real people who genuinely care about what we do. We have a simple mission; to make recovery accessible for as many people as we can.
We respect our teams’ and clients’ individuality, and we encourage everyone at Tulip Hill to be their authentic selves. When you have a center comprised of people who feel at ease when they are genuine, it fosters honesty and enriches the treatment experience.
We believe that substance use is often self-medication for underlying mental health problems. For this very reason, simply treating substance abuse isn’t enough. Instead, we need to get to the root cause of the issues. When someone is diagnosed with a mental illness and substance misuse, it’s called dual diagnosis. At Tulip Hill, this is something we specialize in treating.
Our thorough assessment and screening process should diagnose any pre-existing conditions that could affect your recovery. Our approach is always dynamic. If anything comes to light during your stay with us, we can adapt your treatment accordingly.
Our past can cast a long shadow over our present. Adverse childhood experiences (ACE) correlate with a higher likelihood of mental health conditions and alcohol or drug use. Often, this results from people attempting to self-medicate the lasting symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and flashbacks. Untreated trauma can also be a trigger for relapse.
We offer individual and group therapies to help our clients reframe their pasts and find freedom in the present. We use evidence-based techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) coupled with educational programs and holistic care to address their physical, mental, and spiritual needs.
Throughout your stay at Tulip Hill, you’ll have a dedicated case manager who will make sure you’re prepared to sustain your recovery journey in the long term. Our assessment process will establish your needs and goals, and your case manager will ensure they’re being fulfilled.
At the start of your treatment, this could involve anything from making sure you’re given the correct medication, corresponding with legal representatives, helping you build a resume, getting work experience, and finding employment. You’ll meet your case manager weekly to make sure you’re on track to hitting your personal targets and offer advice or change approaches if need be.
If necessary, your case manager will signpost you to outside services and will advocate on your behalf.
Addiction and mental health recovery is a life-long journey. We’re here for you for as long as you need us to be. We offer our support on a sliding scale – we want you to be out in the real world and flourishing as soon as you’re ready.
As noted above, upon engaging in treatment, our clients usually commence our PHP program. Here, you’ll engage in therapeutic activities for the majority of the day. Early recovery can seem overwhelming and challenging at times, so the more support you get at this critical juncture, the better.
Following the PHP program, you’ll commence IOP, which follows two phases. People in phase one complete group therapy for five days per week. In phase two, group therapy reduces to two or three days per week. You’ll be able to engage with your one-to-one counselor throughout.
We aim to transition you back into everyday life while giving you the support to sustain your recovery. We also welcome our old clients back to groups on a by-appointment basis if you feel that you need a boost or are struggling in your sobriety.
Making any long-term change can seem daunting, and stopping any sort of addictive behavior can appear impossible. Thankfully, your past doesn’t have to determine your future if you reach out for help.
Millions of Americans are in active recovery from addiction - they’re waiting for you to join them. If you have any questions about treatment or addiction, we’d love to help you out. Contact us online or at 877-845-8192 to start the rest of your life.
