What we treat

Substance addictions, alcohol addictions and mental health disorders often occur alongside one another. We believe the best hope for recovery from addiction is to treat the addiction and to treat the co-occuring mental health disorders that often cause or are caused by the addiction. We use evidence-based treatment to help you recover from addiction and develop the skills you need to cope with mental health disorders and begin living a more fulfilling life.

Substance and alcohol addiction

When you suffer from uncontrollable cravings to consume a substance or alcohol, when you cannot picture going through your day or when you go to sleep at night thinking about your next hit, you are suffering from an addiction.

Addiction comes in many different forms, from alcohol addiction to a variety of substances. We focus on treating these conditions and identifying the catalysts in your life that drive you toward using them to help you recover from that too.

Mental health

Addiction isn’t something that appears overnight. Most people who struggle with substance and alcohol addiction do so to cope with mental health disorders. Integrating the treatment of mental health disorders along with helping you recover from addiction is an important part of a holistic, long-term treatment.

Our licensed therapists and clinicians will work closely with you to determine how we can help you with your mental health, so you can develop healthier coping skills and have no need to turn to substances and alcohol.

Our treatments

Our team uses a holistic, dual-diagnosis approach for treating addiction and mental health disorders to ensure you get the help you need to take control of your life. We take the time to get to know you and form a recovery strategy that is optimized for your needs. Most of our clients go through our entire treatment model, but some may only require certain steps:

Partial hospitalization (PHP)PHP is an intensive first stage of care that usually takes place over 30 days. During this time, you’ll live in one of our sober living homes and receive daily monitoring and therapeutic care.

Intensive outpatient (IOP) IOP is the next stage of care in recovery after PHP. There are 30 days of IOP with five treatment days per week, and then 30 days of IOP with three treatment days per week. The goal is to continue focusing on your recovery while at the same time helping you transition back into the real world. During this time, you are still encouraged to live in our sober living residences for accountability and support.

Post-recovery careWe don’t send you back into the world unprepared after IOP. We have an alumni program with members who have recovered with us in the past who help you get back on your feet. They work with you to find a job, arrange transportation and develop important life skills. You always have a family for support and accountability with our alumni program and our staff members at Tulip Hill.

"This program did more than save my life, it gave me one worth living. Through working with the clinical team as well as the rest of the staff I was able to find the things that were getting in the way of me living a drug-free life. The structure of the program helped lay the groundwork for my new life by creating a healthy routine and motivating me to put action towards bettering myself. Thanks to Tulip Hill Recovery's staff and their efforts to help me begin my new life, I’ve been inspired to give back by working with others suffering from substance abuse."
